For Food Innovation Center Operators
The Contract Manufacturing Alliance is building "One Group: Food Innovation Centers" — an extension program that aligns FICs at local, regional, and national levels. Join CPA membership, access white-label programs, and connect your clients to the full Innovate · Create · Launch ecosystem.
The CMA Vision
The CMA is creating an extension program to align all Food Innovation Centers together — regardless of whether they're university-based, non-profit, or for-profit. The food innovation landscape is fragmented. Brilliant FICs operate in isolation, reinventing tools their peers have already built.
The goal is a unified network where a client in one part of the country can be served by any FIC in the system, where best practices are shared, and where every FIC's clients have access to the full Innovate · Create · Launch pathway.
When your client graduates from your FIC, they don't fall off a cliff. They step seamlessly into pilot plants, co-packers, and retail connections — powered by the Alliance.
Your center's R&D capabilities become part of a national innovation infrastructure — and your clients gain access to specialized tools like ChemLab for advanced formulation chemistry, RecipeTool for recipe-to-manufacturing conversion, and BevLab for beverage-specific development.
CPA Membership
The Contract Packaging Association (est. 1992) is the national standard for credibility in contract packaging and manufacturing. FIC membership brings your center into the Alliance.

A national coordination layer for Food Innovation Centers — shared curriculum, standardized tools, and collective impact across the country.
Programming
Not every FIC has the bandwidth to build a comprehensive incubation program from scratch. The CMA offers white-label program structures that you can deploy under your own brand — bringing world-class programming to your local community without reinventing the wheel.
These programs are designed to be modular — you choose which components fit your facility, client base, and funding model. Everything from intake assessment through graduation and co-packer connection.
Explore All Programs →Run cohorts of 6–12 food entrepreneurs through a defined program — intake, development, testing, and graduation with a production-ready product.
